The segments are being presented in collaboration with them and Latin Heat Media and feature the likes of Anthony Quinn, Raquel Welch, Rita Moreno, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the biggest stars in Hollywood during the 1920s and 30&#8217;s were Dolores del Rio, Ramon Novarro, Lupe Velez and Ricardo Montaban,\u201d said Bel Hernandez, founder and publisher of Latin Heat Media. \u201cCinco de Mayo LA is proud to bring you a glimpse of the history of Latinos in Hollywood in short clips of the groundbreaking and important documentary The Bronze Screen. Cinco de Mayo LA will also spotlight this summer\u2019s event film, \u201cIn The Heights,\u201d based on the Lin-Manuel Miranda Tony Award-winning musical, which Warner Bros. Pictures is releasing nationwide in theaters and on HBO Max on June 11; it will be available on HBO Max for 31 days from theatrical release.<\/p>\n<p>Even though this year\u2019s festival is purely on broadcast TV and live stream due to COVID, the event is laying the groundwork for what organizers hope can be an in-person and live stream spectacle in 2022 on the streets of L.A.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elevating Farmworkers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More than a third of U.S. farmworkers live in California, 92% are Latino and help produce a third of the nation\u2019s vegetables and more than 350 food commodities.
