NEW YORK, NY — June 10, 2026 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — A bit of shade and diligent sunscreen use can go a long way, but protecting your skin – the body’s largest organ – takes more than just the basics for optimal health, particularly during the hottest times of the year.

In fact, it’s not only about what you put on your body, but in it, too. Emerging research suggests grapes may do more than simply provide hydration, nutrition and natural sweetness; they may help support health at the genetic level. A study published in “ACS Nutrition Science” found consuming grapes changed gene expression in human skin and helped support biological processes associated with healthier, more resilient skin.

These findings add to mounting evidence that grapes act as a “nutrigenomic” food, meaning the antioxidant and other polyphenol compounds naturally found in grapes may influence how genes behave in the body. The results also highlight how whole foods like grapes may influence important biological pathways in the body, according to John Pezzuto, dean and professor of pharmaceutics at the Western New England University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

“We are now certain that grapes are a superfood and mediate a nutrigenomic response in humans,” Pezzuto said. “The changes in gene expression indicated improvements in skin health.”

Along with making foods like Grapes from California a regular part of your diet, consider these ways to support and protect skin throughout the year.

Cool Down After Sun Exposure

Time in the sun can leave skin feeling dry or irritated, even with sunscreen and protective clothing. After going for a run or spending time at the pool, make sure to rinse off sweat and chlorine with a gentle cleanser then follow up with a lightweight moisturizer or lotion to replenish skin and leave it feeling fresh. Applying moisturizer regularly – especially after showering or washing your face – can help lock in hydration and support your skin’s natural barrier.

Consume Skin-Friendly Foods and Beverages

A cold glass of water goes a long way, but what you put on your plate can play a role in how your skin looks and feels, too. Foods that deliver antioxidants and other polyphenols, like California grapes, may help support skin health from the inside out. An additional bonus: With their high water content, grapes can help maintain hydration, particularly during warmer months.

For the best of both worlds, add an easy beverage to your menu with California Grape Rosemary Spritzers, which combine sparkling water and grapes with a hint of rosemary for a sip that’s equal parts refreshing and delicious.

Don’t Forget Lips and Eyes

Layering sunscreen on exposed skin might be your first priority before stepping into the sun. However, lips and eyes shouldn’t be forgotten. Often overlooked in skin care routines, lips are especially vulnerable to sun damage and dehydration. Make sure to use a lip balm with SPF protection throughout the day and reapply often.

Similarly, the delicate skin around the eyes might be one of the first places to show signs of sun damage. Wear sunglasses with UV protection to shield both your eyes and surrounding skin from harsh rays.

Keep an Eye on Changing Skin

New spots, skin changes or itchiness shouldn’t be ignored. Perform regular skin checks at home, particularly if you spend a lot of time outdoors, and routinely visit a dermatologist who can help catch potential concerns early in support of long-term skin health.

Partially strip rosemary branches, leaving 3-4 inches of greenery. Skewer three grapes on each branch.

Pour water into large pitcher. Add sliced grapes and stir.

Fill eight glasses with ice and grape sparkling water. Garnish each drink with grape-rosemary skewer.

NEW YORK, NY — June 10, 2026 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — PIX11, in association with 21 Events, proudly presents a dynamic day of music, culture, and community at the iconic 116th Street Festival in East Harlem. The PIX11 Stage will offer an extraordinary lineup of legendary performers, rising stars, and special tributes that celebrates the rich musical heritage of the Latino community while introducing audiences to the next generation of artists, all carried live by the television station.

One of the highlights of this year’s program will be a special tribute to salsa icon Willie Colón, featuring performances by Luis Damon and Papote Jiménez. The tribute will culminate with a special appearance by Grammy Award-winning artist Roberto Blades performing the classic anthem “La Murga,” honoring one of the most influential figures in Latin music history.

The PIX11 Stage will also welcome Tito Puente Jr., who continues to carry forward the legacy of his legendary father while introducing new generations to the rhythms and energy that made the Puente name synonymous with Latin music worldwide.

Adding to the excitement, freestyle and Latin music icon Safire will return to her roots for a truly special moment. Raised in Spanish Harlem just blocks from the festival grounds, this marks the first time she will perform in the neighborhood where her musical journey began. Safire is also preparing for the release of her highly anticipated Spanish-language album in August 2026.

“As one of New York City’s most celebrated cultural events, the 116th Street Festival continues to serve as a gathering place where music, heritage, and community come together in the heart of El Barrio and we at 11 are proud to broadcast this excitement to fans throughout the Tri-State area,” said Michael Schwartz, Director of Sales for PIX11.

The PIX11 Stage reflects the diversity, innovation, and enduring spirit of Latin music, bringing together artists whose careers span multiple generations, genres, and cultures.

Internationally acclaimed violinist Alfredo De La Fe will bring his signature Violin sound to the festival as he celebrates his 60th anniversary in music. Widely recognized as the first solo violinist to perform with a salsa orchestra, Alfredo has performed alongside some of the greatest names in Latin music, including Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Willie Colón, Héctor Lavoe, Eddie Palmieri, and the Fania All-Stars.

The celebration will also feature performances by Colombian singer-songwriter Yuri Toro, former vocalist of Grupo Niche; veteran salsa vocalist Frankie Morales; Panama’s Willie Panamá, known as “The King of Salsa Rap”; New York-based salsa project Fuego Taibori featuring lead vocalist David Sanchez; and emerging Bronx-based duo CRILL & CLOS, who represent a new generation of bilingual artists blending Latin, pop, and urban influences.

“For the 21 Events Team, we are honored to bring together so many talented artists to present their music to the live audience at the 122 Street Stage and to broadcast the 41st Annual 116 Street Festival live on PIX 11,” said Ralph Paniagua, Managing Director of 21 Events.

The PIX11 Stage is produced by Ralph Paniagua, with musical production by Luis Miguel Cruz, co-production and music licensing by Martha Cancel, stage management by Pioantonio Ventura, and artist relations coordinated by Manuel Soba.

MIAMI, FL — June 8, 2026 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — From family restaurants and barbershops to small local shops, small business owners are preparing for what is expected to be one of the busiest seasons of the year.

With rising tourism and the arrival of major events like Formula 1 and the FIFA World Cup—which will drive an influx of visitors, many small businesses are stocking up on inventory, hiring staff, and extending their operating hours to meet demand. However, a constant challenge remains for many: having access to working capital right when they need it most.

In high-growth, economically active markets like Miami, where millions of visitors drive local spending each year, small businesses often face added pressure to grow quickly and respond to demand.

For business owners, growth also brings pressure. A surge in demand often requires upfront investment in inventory, staff, and equipment before the revenue comes in.

«One of the biggest challenges for small business owners is time,» said Jose Miguel Vera, Senior Vice President of Growth and Marketing at One Park Financial. «Opportunities don’t wait, especially in a market like Miami. Business owners need access to capital that moves as fast as they do.»

One Park Financial, a Miami-based financing provider, offers revenue-based solutions designed to meet that need. Business owners can pre-qualify in minutes, receive an offer within hours, and, in many cases, secure funding on the same day.

The ability to act quickly can make a significant difference. According to the company, repeat clients who had previously received financing managed to increase their sales by an average of 20% (data based on the last five years of One Park Financial’s internal client information).

Tips for small business owners facing periods of high demand:

Act proactively, not reactively: If you are missing out on opportunities due to a lack of cash flow, it might be time to explore financing options before demand peaks.

in revenue-generating areas: Prioritize inventory, staff, and equipment that directly drives growth.

Maintain constant control of cash flow: understanding inflows and outflows allows you to make faster, better-informed decisions.

As various cities enter a period of sustained economic activity, access to flexible financing solutions will remain crucial for small businesses looking to meet demand and scale strategically. For more information, visit oneparkfinancial.com. Services not available in California or New York.

NEW YORK, NY — June 2, 2026 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — The threat of heart disease and stroke is growing substantially among women and girls as rates climb for health factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity, with 6 in 10 U.S. women projected to have at least one type of cardiovascular disease (CVD) by 2050.

This information from a new scientific statement published in “Circulation,” the peer-reviewed, flagship journal of the American Heart Association, a global force changing the future of health for all, points to a rise in CVD that’s in part fueled by increases in other health factors like diabetes and obesity. Nearly 32% of girls ages 2-19 may have obesity by 2050, highlighting the impact even on younger generations.

Findings from the report point to increases among women for all types of CVD, including heart disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation and stroke.

“Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death for women and remains their No. 1 health risk overall,” said Stacey E. Rosen, M.D., FAHA, volunteer president of the American Heart Association and executive director of the Katz Institute for Women’s Health and senior vice president of women’s health at Northwell Health. “While many people may think conditions like high blood pressure are only occurring in older women, we know this is not the case. We know the factors that contribute to heart disease and stroke begin early in life, even among young women and girls. The impact is even greater among those experiencing adverse social determinants of health such as poverty, low literacy, rural residence and other psychosocial stressors. Identifying the types of trends outlined in this report is critical to making meaningful changes that can reverse this course.”

However, there is positive news: Rates of high cholesterol are expected to decline among nearly all groups of women, and improvements are expected in some health behaviors that impact CVD, including healthier eating, more physical activity and less smoking.

The most efficient and effective way to reduce the prevalence of CVD is through prevention, prioritizing optimal health through the four health behaviors (eat better, be more active, quit tobacco and get healthy sleep) and four health factors (manage weight, control cholesterol, manage blood sugar and manage blood pressure) that comprise the American Heart Association’s Life’s Essential 8.

Health Behaviors

Promote healthy choices in the places where people learn, live and receive care, like schools, community centers, pediatric clinics and gynecology offices. Use digital tools, when helpful, to encourage and reinforce positive lifestyle changes.

Health Factors

Managing chronic conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity early can make a difference, especially for women at higher risk. Work with your health care team to prioritize long-term support for managing these conditions, including early check-ins, team-based care and the use of digital tools that make care easier to access.

Care at Every Life Stage

Each stage of life offers an opportunity to spot risks early and protect heart health. For example, pediatricians should know that early menstrual periods can signal higher future cardiovascular risk. Coordinated care across specialties should be integrated before, during and after pregnancy. Research should continue to explore how lifestyle changes and hormone therapy around menopause impact women’s heart health.

Social and Demographic Factors

Health systems should consider how social challenges – like access to healthy food, transportation or safe housing – combine with medical risks, designing interventions that improve heart health in each setting.

The findings highlight a growing disconnect between rising debt levels and consumer understanding of available debt relief solutions.

According to the survey of 1,005 U.S. adults, 78% of respondents currently carry credit card debt, with nearly 30% owing $10,000 or more. Despite these balances, many consumers still consider their debt “manageable,” which may contribute to delayed action and missed opportunities for early financial intervention.

The survey found that awareness of debt relief solutions varies significantly. While debt consolidation loans and bankruptcy are widely recognized, nearly half of respondents were unaware that nonprofit organizations offer Debt Management Programs (DMPs), and only 37% reported familiarity with DMPs overall.

Additionally, many respondents expressed concerns about how debt relief programs could affect their credit scores, repayment timelines, and monthly costs. These misconceptions appear to contribute to hesitation, even though 70% of participants said they trust nonprofit credit counseling agencies.

The survey also revealed that:

About 1 in 5 respondents would delay seeking help until debt becomes a last resort situation.

6% stated they would never seek professional debt assistance.

Only 39% said they had ever enrolled in a Debt Management Program.

Many consumers begin by researching solutions online or consulting with family and friends before contacting a credit counselor from a non-profit agency.

Debt Management Programs offered through nonprofit credit counseling agencies are designed to help consumers consolidate unsecured debt into one affordable monthly payment while potentially reducing interest rates and fees. Consolidated Credit notes that program fees are capped nationwide and are often significantly lower than consumers expect.

The findings suggest that while financial stress continues to rise, greater consumer education may be necessary to help Americans understand when and how to seek trustworthy guidance before debt reaches crisis levels.

MIAMI, FL — June 2, 2026 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — In a milestone that marks the consolidation of corporate legal services tailored for cross-border capital, the prestigious Calderón Law Firm celebrated a double milestone: its first anniversary of institutional success and the official inauguration of its new strategic offices in South Florida. The exclusive gathering, held on Thursday, May 28, brought together a prominent delegation of real estate developers, attorneys, financial advisors, and top regional authorities.

The highlight of the evening was the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, an official protocol jointly led by City of Hollywood Commissioner Peter Hernandez and the President of the Argentine-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida, Roberto Macho, who joined the firm’s founder, Dr. María Marta Calderón, ratifying the strong institutional backing and technical trust the practice enjoys within today’s corporate sector.

Dr. Calderón—an Argentine-born attorney who graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Miami and is a former Board Director of the Argentine-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida—took the opportunity to express her deepest gratitude to the clients, friends, and leaders who gathered to support her on such a meaningful night. «This first year and these new offices represent a continuous commitment to integrity. I am deeply grateful to each of you for walking alongside us and trusting our firm to protect the hard work of generations, helping you secure your legacy in the United States step by step,» the legal strategist, Dr. Calderón, emphasized with emotion.

The evening, which evolved into a sophisticated networking platform merging law, business, and art, was supported by an elite group of strategic sponsors who made the event possible:

Fidelity National Title: A key ally in property title insurance for secure transactions, Amerant Bank: A leading financial institution at the forefront of private corporate banking solutions, Tatore Ristorante & Rhonda Rita – Margarita Cocktail: Providing high-end gastronomy and premium cocktail experiences, Visual Artist Adriana Torres & Sculptor Lugufelo: Enhancing the venue with their acclaimed artwork, Museo Empresarial Colombiano: An institution that added significant cultural and business value to the cross-border ecosystem of the event.

ATLANTA, GA — June 1, 2026 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — Vertex Micro Fest today announced its official launch as the first national vertical film festival in the United States, introducing a new platform dedicated entirely to vertical storytelling, micro dramas, and mobile-first filmmaking, to be held in July.

Launching in Atlanta before expanding to Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Miami, and Chicago, Vertex Micro Fest celebrates short-form vertical films between three and eleven minutes long, created specifically in 9:12 and 9:16 format for smartphone audiences.

Built around the belief that great storytelling no longer requires a studio, development deal, or traditional gatekeeper, the Vertex Micro Fest invites creators to make films using any device available to them, from smartphones to professional cinema cameras.

“The most powerful stories in the world are being told right now by people who were never given permission to tell them. Vertex exists to change that,” said Yvette Moise, Founder, President and Artistic Director of Vertex Micro Fest.

At the center of the festival is the Vertex Micro Fest 30-Day Challenge, a national filmmaking competition where creators have one month to write, shoot, edit, and complete an original vertical short film. The Challenge is open to all Solo creators, students (both HS and College) full production teams, animated projects, AI and hybrid productions are all eligible to compete.

Selected films will be featured in the official Vertex Micro Fest on the website, showcased across the fest’s creator network, and screened during live events and award ceremonies throughout the national tour. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of filmmakers, producers, directors, editors, and entertainment industry professionals, with awards presented across multiple creative and technical categories.

The Vertex Micro Fest national tour officially begins July 17, 2026. Brands, sponsors, speakers and creative partners interested in participating are encouraged to connect through the official festival website.

How to enter: Filmmakers can register for the Vertex 30-Day Challenge and review official submission guidelines, deadlines, and runtime requirements at www.reelverts.com.
