HOMESTEAD, Florida – November 18, 2013 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – This past Sunday was very exciting for all NASCAR fans as Jimmie Johnson finished eighth at Homestead-Miami Speedway, securing his sixth Sprint Cup Series championship in eight years. While this and many other exciting storylines accompanied the close of this NASCAR season, one very compelling success came in the form of a partnership between Homestead-Miami Speedway and #TeamEMAR in an effort to reach out to South Florida’s Hispanic community.
As a new sports and entertainment agency specialized in connecting brands to US Hispanics, #TeamEMAR brought together top Hispanic celebrities like Univision’s Fernando Fiore and Raul de Molina—both of whom are avid NASCAR fans that relished the opportunity to attend NASCAR’s Ford Championship Weekend. As longtime advocates for motorsports and major influencers of a large Hispanic base, both media personalities saw great value in reaching out to Hispanics through sporting events and digital campaigns like #vroomlatino – the social media hashtag used to promote events throughout the weekend. Other celebrities that were in attendance included Luis Fonsi, Agueda Lopez, Jencarlos Canela and Gaby Espino.
Photos and updates from the entire weekend can be seen via the #TeamEMAR and #vroomlatino hastags.
