MIAMI, FL – August 6, 2014 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – The nominations process for the national Tecla Awards for excellence in Latino blogging, micro-blogging and social media/digital marketing is now officially open through Thursday, January 15, 2015. To submit nominations visit http://www.hispanicizeevent.com/tecla-awards-2015.

The Tecla Awards are being conducted by Hispanicize 2015 (www.HispanicizeEvent.com), the largest U.S. Hispanic marketing, media and entertainment industries event in the nation, and its sister company the Latina Mom Bloggers network in partnership with iBlog Magazine.

The final number of 2015 Tecla Awards is 30, with 20 devoted to Latino bloggers, vloggers and micro-bloggers and 10 designated for brands, agencies and media companies. Finalists will be announced nationally in December.

Winners will be announced at the Tecla Awards gala that kicks off Hispanicize 2015 Week on Monday, March 16, 2015 in Miami’s InterContinental Downtown hotel, where the annual event will take place March 16-20. (See the official recap for Hispanicize 2014 here: http://youtu.be/AYizCcZ0D0k).

To commemorate the launch of the nominations process and to discuss in-depth questions people may have about the awards and procedures, a national Twitter party is being hosted tonight at 9 p.m. ET by Hispanicize, the Latina Mom Bloggers network and other partners at the hashtag #Hispz15. The Tecla Awards will unite and celebrate the entire industry of Latino social media and digital marketing at a time when a growing number of brands and agencies are heavily seeking to work with bloggers, micro-bloggers and other content creators.

In tandem with the most advanced blogging and social media courses ever offered at the Hispanicize event, the Tecla Awards program will serve as a major catalyst for professionalizing blogging and the industry of Hispanic and multicultural social media.

Awards process and categories

To ensure the integrity of the awards program process, a prestigious panel of 30 judges consisting of 10 top bloggers, 10 top brand marketers and 10 top marketing agencies will select all the winners.

The Tecla Awards are open to all bloggers who are either Latino or create content that targets Hispanic and/or multicultural audiences. The current web traffic or following a blogger or micro-blogger has is irrelevant to the awards. The Tecla Awards are being created to showcase excellent work so this means the awards may introduce a lesser know talent to the world.

Partners of the Hispanicize brand of companies and individuals from other blogger content marketing networks themselves will not be eligible to win any of the awards but the brands and/or agencies who work with them will not be excluded from submitting entries.

About the Tecla Awards
Named after the Spanish-language word for an individual key on a keyboard, the Tecla Awards recognize excellence in Latino blogging, micro-blogging and social media marketing.

The Tecla Awards will be held annually at the Hispanicize event. The awards feature 30 categories, 20 focused on Latino bloggers and micro-blogging and 10 devoted to brands, multicultural marketing agencies and media companies.
