BURBANK, CA – May 9, 2017 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Estrella TV, the fastest growing, minority owned Spanish language broadcasting network in the U.S. announced today that it delivered a +14% growth in Total Day, tied with Telemundo among Adults 18-49(1).
Estrella TV (+14%) beat Univision (-13%), UniMás (-14%) and Azteca América (-19%), which showed significant declines, delivering the highest growth among Spanish language broadcast networks in Total Day (M-SU 6a-6a) season to date as compared to same period in 2015-2016.
Estrella TV continues on a solid upward track with its dynamic and fast-paced Spanish language programming, which since its inception has aimed at offering Hispanic audiences in the US a unique alternative to the obsolete and tired telenovela format of yesteryear, which continues showing double digit declines.
“We take great pride in our programming lineup and feel confident that we will continue offering the highest quality Spanish language programs our audience expects, and continue producing shows that are relevant and appealing to today’s modern Hispanics living in the US,” stated Lenard Liberman.
Estrella TV consistently outperforms its competitors among Hispanic Millennials with news magazine shows such as iTestigo and AlarmaTV as well as its entertainment offerings like Tengo Talento, Mucho Talento, Rica Famosa Latina and the only Spanish language late night talk show in the US Noches Con Platanito.
