MIAMI, FL – December 15, 2014 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – The Hispanicize 2015 Film Festival issued a call for feature length and short film submissions today as part of a robust program expansion that will spotlight filmmakers and celebrities, and will include collaboration with other Miami local film entities. Hispanicize 2015 (http://www.hispanicizeevent.com), the sixth annual Latino trends event for filmmakers, bloggers, journalists, marketers, influencers and music artists, will take place March 16-20th at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami.

“Our commitment to film is expanding with a festival that is powerfully sharpened to showcase the works and talent of independent Latino filmmakers like never before”

“Our commitment to film is expanding with a festival that is powerfully sharpened to showcase the works and talent of independent Latino filmmakers like never before,” said Calixto Chinchilla, director of film for Hispanicize 2015. “We’re excited to return from a 2014 high in attendance, media, quality films and industry forums to deliver an event that will exceed expectations.”

“Our commitment to spotlighting Latino filmmakers and their achievements is unwavering as it is part of a broader goal Hispanicize and its national media platforms have to provide filmmakers and content creators with opportunities to gain national recognition,” said Manny Ruiz founder and creative director for Hispanicize.

A Bolder, Unprecedented Agenda

To support these goals, the Hispanicize 2015 Film Festival has several new or enhanced changes for 2015 including:

More feature length films and short films with heavy promotion in traditional and social media, as well as filmmaker profiles:
Organizers will work closer with filmmakers to spotlight their bios, photos and film trailers. New media partnerships will also connect filmmakers directly to entertainment media and bloggers.

Latinovators and more stars:
Expect a lot more star power in 2015. At least one of the recipients of the prestigious Latinovator award will be a major Latino influencer in film and entertainment. In the past, Hispanicize has highlighted Hollywood greats such as Oscar nominee Edward James Olmos, actors Andy García and Steven Bauer, among others.

Call For Entries Information

Feature and short films will be considered for this year’s event. Films will primarily be curated with a few screenings open for general submission.

For consideration for exhibition at Hispanicize 2015 please send a press kit and an online link to the film. Please email materials and info to: Calixto@Hispanicizeevent.com.

The early submission deadline for feature and short films is January 31st. The late submission deadline is February 13th. Films selected to be in the festival will be notified in late February.

All filmmakers whose works are chosen will be heavily publicized before, during and after the Hispanicize 2015 Film Festival. Additionally, each accepted feature length and short filmmaker will be provided with two badges for entrance into all Hispanicize events. Feature filmmakers will receive full travel and lodging accommodations.
