NEW YORK, NY – November 5, 2015 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Moen Incorporated, the #1 faucet brand in North America (www.moen.com) was presented an award today by the East LA Community Corporation (www.elacc.org) for its community outreach program Alcanzando Sueños con Moen (“Achieving Dreams with Moen”) which supports affordable housing.
East LA Community Corporation (ELACC), a prominent non-profit community service and advocacy organization dedicated to serving the needs of families and other residents of East Los Angeles, celebrated the grand opening of the Whittier Place Apartments, a permanent supportive housing development with 25 units of affordable housing with 18 units designated for formerly homeless families with children. ELACC also acknowledged distinguished finance partners JP Morgan Chase, California Tax Credit Allocation Committee, Corporation for Supportive Housing, LA County Community Development Commission, Enterprise Community Partners and First 5 Los Angeles.
Under the Alcanzando Sueños con Moen initiative (“Achieving Dreams with Moen”), the company donated state-of-the-art and water-saving kitchen and bathroom fixtures for the units of the Whittier Place Apartments, located in unincorporated East Los Angeles and developed by ELACC in partnership with the Los Angeles House of Ruth organization and others to provide single-parent families and others who have been or are at risk of being homeless.
