ATLANTA, GA — May 26, 2022 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — Dr. Jose Marquez, Ph.D., and Yvette Moise, founders of the Georgia Latino Film Alliance, (GALFA), and Julie Ann Crommett, GALFA Board Chairwomen announced today that the Georgia Latino International Film Festival (GALIFF) will host its 11th season of the festival that will run during Hispanic Heritage Month, in Atlanta Ga. Thursday, September 29th through Sunday, October 2nd, 2022.
This year’s program will be comprised of feature films, episodic, music, XR projects, and short films, including those from GALIFF’s and HBOMax/Warner Media’s Latino Short Film Festival. The Short film festival, created to develop next-generation film makers extensive and inclusive opportunities for underrepresented groups within the Latino community, and select ten visionary Latino directors.
“As one of the only Afro Latino curated film festivals in the world, we were overwhelmed by the support from the film industry and community for GALIFF and more importantly for our filmmakers,” said Julie Ann Crommett, Chairwomen of Georgia Latino Film Alliance. “with this great opportunity given to our filmmakers they have an opportunity to have their films run on HBOMax/WarnerMedia OneFifty.
The Georgia Latino Film Alliance is committed to offer a platform to showcase the remarkable and diverse work of Latino filmmakers from Georgia, across the country, and from around the world. “We want to ensure that these voices are heard, that we create in-person space and a distribution channel that our next generation of storytellers are seen and are able to inspire others.”
