MIAMI, FL – February 12, 2018 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Several leading universities are uniting with organizers of Hispanicize to launch the national Hispanicize U platform that will promote Latino diversity and inclusion in the fields of advertising, PR and communications. The 9th annual Hispanicize, the largest gathering of trendsetters and newsmakers in U.S. Hispanic marketing, social media, journalism and entertainment industries, takes place April 17-19 at the JW Marriott Marquis in downtown Miami.
The unprecedented Hispanicize U is a national initiative that allows universities to send several hundred of their best and brightest communications and journalism seniors to attend Hispanicize 2018 at no cost. An entire career track is being devoted to Hispanicize U attendees, and those students will have almost fully unfettered access to other tracks of Hispanicize 2018.
Founding educational institution partners of Hispanicize U so far include Cal State Fullerton, Florida International University, Miami Dade College, Florida Atlantic University, Nova Southeastern, and The Miami Ad School.
“These educational institutions are the founding partners of an initiative that will instantly become the strongest eco-system in the nation for Latina, Latino and other university graduates of other diverse backgrounds who are looking for communications careers in agencies, brands and organizations nationwide,” said Manny Ruiz, founder of the Hispanicize Media Group company that owns the event. “We’re knocking relentlessly on every leading agency’s doors and giving their HR leaders the opportunity to find their next best job candidates here by sponsoring this critically important program.”
Hispanicize U is part of a three-strand D&I strategy of Hispanicize that also includes the Hispanicize Diversity Marketing and Communications Career Fair and the Hispanicize CMO & Diversity Summit.
Hispanicize Diversity Marketing and Communications Career Fair is another industry-first program that will take place from 1 to 5:30 p.m. in the main exhibit floor and will be open to advertising, marketing, PR, social media and journalism professionals as well as university seniors from select partner institutions nationwide. Hispanicize will facilitate the space and process for agencies, brands and private companies from across the country who want to coordinate meetings with job candidates.
The 2nd Annual Hispanicize CMO & Diversity Summit will bring brands, agencies and media companies together for a two-day program that focuses on what brands are doing best in the U.S. Hispanic Market. A major highlight of all Hispanicize in 2017, this year’s summit will once again bring together a Who’s Who of major brand executives to share best practices, case studies, discussions and keynotes focused on U.S. Hispanic Marketing and Diversity success.
