MIAMI, FL – December 19, 2014 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – ASPIRA of Florida is the largest non-profit school reform movement providing greater educational opportunities for youth in the Miami community. This worthy cause garnered some tremendous local support last week during the First Annual Hispanicize Miami Holiday Scavenger Hunt.
Sponsored by Florida Blue and organized in partnership with BTL Network and Hispanicize, the inaugural holiday event helped to collect hundreds of dollars worth of toys for ASPIRA’s underprivileged youth and raise awareness for its community initiatives. 15 ASPIRA students and their families joined the festivities, which included an early dinner, presentations by the night’s hosts, and an appearance by Florida Blue’s Blue Santa, whose hashtag (#BlueSanta) trended throughout the evening on social media.
The event centered around a city-wide scavenger hunt that pitted teams of influential Latino bloggers, advertising agencies, PR agencies, journalists and entrepreneurs against each other for a hilariously hectic night of fun to support ASPIRA’s outreach efforts. The scavenger hunt provided some interesting challenges and fun moments along the way.
