
COLUMBUS, OH – November 24, 2014 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – The Hispanic Chamber of Columbus is pleased to announce that Jason P. Riveiro has been elected to serve as the Chamber’s board President. Riveiro is currently the Manager of Multicultural Marketing for Columbus based Big Lots.

Ranking second in percent of new foreign-born residents (those who came to the United States since 2000), the Columbus Hispanic Chamber of Commerce looks to provide the necessary tools and resources to those who seek to build a business in our backyard.”
Prior to Big Lots, Jason lead multicultural marketing efforts for Cleveland based Sherwin-Williams. Jason also devotes much time as a volunteer for many non-for-profit organizations, including those serving the Hispanic population. Jason represented the oldest and largest Hispanic civil rights organization in the country, LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens), by serving as its Ohio State Director.

The Board President will lead several key initiatives to increase the presence and expansion of Hispanic businesses in Central Ohio, as well as to continue developing highly successful training programs such as the thriving Latina Mentor Academy. In addition, Riveiro will lead strategic direction and rebranding efforts for 2015 and beyond.
