SLDay 2017 is a celebration for all ambitious women of Houston, to be empowered, inspired and pampered. What started as a seven-year blog anniversary for SpoiledLatina.com led to a City of Houston Proclamation by Mayor Annise Parker in Yvonne Guidry’s honor in 2015. Yvonne then decided to create an event to celebrate the blog’s anniversary, and at the same time, the talented and women in her Houston community: the decision-makers in their households, the ones who influence others around them and the ones who make things happen on their own.
This year, on July 8th, SLDay 2017 has partnered with Ford and Boost Mobile for brunch, bubbles and convo. The event aims to celebrate women in all facets of their lives – beauty, lifestyle, fashion and family for a morning of empowerment, inspiration and pampering.
“As women we hold many responsibilities and I want to celebrate us, all the hard-working women of Houston,” Guidry said. “We deserve some ‘me’ time.”
Guests panelist include: Radio One General Manager Terri Thomas; Fox 26 Morning Correspondent Rita Garcia; Felicia Drake – owner of Grooves Houston; and Dawn Estelle Archer, a popular Instagram fitness instructor and founder of Sweat among others.
Part of the ticket sale proceeds will be donated to a local women’s organization in Houston.
