SAN ANTONIO, TX – August 1, 2014 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Moen Incorporated, the #1 faucet brand in North America, www.moen.com, has partnered with the American GI Forum-National Veterans Outreach Program, Inc. (www.nvop.org), a prominent non-profit organization in San Antonio dedicated to establishing and maintaining a comprehensive community service agency that serve the needs of veterans, their families and other community residents.

Through the program, called Alcanzando Sueños con Moen (“Achieving Dreams with Moen”), the company is donating state-of-the-art and water-saving kitchen and bathroom fixtures for over 140 units at the NVOP Residential Center, 519 N. Medina, which provides rooms for transitional housing and Single Room Occupancy (SRO) units designated for veterans with disabilities. Moen’s donation will help defray some of the rehab costs that can be used to support services for the program.
The American GI Forum-National Veterans Outreach Program was founded and developed as a separate corporation in 1972. The organization’s goal is to create an entity that can provide “hands on” services to veterans at the grassroots level.
NVOP is an organization with diversified service components administered by the prime organization (the NVOP) and six sub-corporations that operate services that include employment and training for veterans, affordable housing for the elderly, homeless veterans services, economic development projects that include the Veterans Enterprises of Texas (VETS) box manufacturing company.

The Alcanzando Sueños con Moen program was launched by Moen Incorporated in May 2007 in partnership with the Hispanic Housing Development Corporation, a major nonprofit builder of affordable homes in Chicago. Through the program, Moen contributes several hundred thousand dollars worth of products annually to affordable housing projects serving predominantly Hispanic communities around the country, including major markets such as Florida, CA. New York, Arizona, and Texas.
