“HACU is honored to recognize Chancellor Agnes Mojica and President Alexander Gonzales, two remarkable individuals who have devoted their careers to enhancing opportunities for students and have been tireless champions for Hispanic higher education success”

During the Conference, two higher education leaders will be recognized and inducted to HACU’s Hall of Champions: Chancellor of Inter American University of Puerto Rico, San Germán Campus, Agnes Mojica, and President of California State University, Sacramento, Alexander Gonzalez, Ph.D.

“HACU is honored to recognize Chancellor Agnes Mojica and President Alexander Gonzalez, two remarkable individuals who have devoted their careers to enhancing opportunities for students and have been tireless champions for Hispanic higher education success,” said HACU President and CEO Antonio R. Flores.

The opening plenary session of the Conference will feature welcoming remarks by Colorado Lieutenant Governor Joseph A. Garcia, followed by the State of HACU Address presented by Flores.

Two hot topics in higher education will be featured in plenary sessions. The International Plenary: “New opportunities for international exchanges under the 100,000 Strong in the Americas partnership” and the HACU Town Hall “Higher education rankings and ratings: do they measure up?” will address student diversity in study abroad opportunities and the Obama Administration’s push for a rating system, respectively.

Fifty-five workshops will be offered under the following tracks: Grants and Funding Opportunities; Partnerships that Work; Academic Success for Hispanic Students, Research and Practice; Advocacy and Legislation; International Partnerships; and Executive Leadership for Presidents and CEOs.
