LOS ANGELES, CA — October 6, 2026 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — The Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) today announced that independent artist, entrepreneur and advocate Snow Tha Product (Claudia Alexandra Madriz Meza) will receive the 2026 HPRA President’s Award at the annual ¡BRAVO! Awards Gala on November 19 in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles River Center and Gardens.
The HPRA President’s Award recognizes a leader whose work has changed what is possible for the Latino community. Snow will be honored for a career defined not only by what she has achieved, but by how she has chosen to show up for herself and for the Latino community: trusting her own voice, building an independent path and using the platform she created to speak openly about immigrant rights, human rights and issues affecting Latino communities across the country.
Her recognition comes as HPRA celebrates this year’s ¡BRAVO! theme, “Legacy in Motion,” honoring the people who built the spaces for future Latino professionals in communications as well as those who are reshaping them for generations still to come. Her career trajectory and choices carry particular meaning for HPRA as communications and media professionals understand the power of having access to a microphone—and the responsibility that comes with deciding how to use it.
“Snow embodies everything that shapes her artistry and ancestry while leading the way for generations to follow,” said HPRA President Sonia V. Diaz. “What makes her voice especially powerful is her willingness to use it not only to defend our community, but also to challenge us from within—to acknowledge our shortcomings, confront our contradictions, and call on ourselves to do better. Whether she is speaking out against the forces targeting our communities or turning the lens inward, she reminds us that change, ultimately, requires all of our participation. Her voice creates space for others to find power in their own, to question what needs to change, and to speak up for the communities they want to see thrive.”
Born in San Jose, California, to Mexican parents, Snow Tha Product has built a career around the very things the music industry once struggled to categorize: her bilingualism, cultural identity, technical skill and refusal to be confined to a single sound or audience. A multi-platinum-selling, Latin GRAMMY-nominated rapper, singer and songwriter, Snow first gained recognition through independent releases before signing with Atlantic Records in 2012.
After leaving the label in 2018, she returned to her independent roots and continued building on her own terms. Her collaboration with Argentine producer Bizarrap, “BZRP Music Sessions #39,” earned a Latin GRAMMY nomination for Best Rap/Hip-Hop Song and generated hundreds of millions of views online. She has also appeared on “Immigrants (We Get the Job Done)” from The Hamilton Mixtape alongside K’naan, Residente and Riz Ahmed, and expanded into acting with her role as Lil’ T on USA Network’s Queen of the South.
Today, Snow’s work extends well beyond music. Through her Everydaydays/Everynightnights ecosystem, podcast, livestreams and social platforms, she has built a direct relationship with an international audience around conversations spanning culture, motherhood, entrepreneurship and everyday life. That independence has also given her the freedom to speak openly about identity and issues affecting her community, bringing together music, advocacy and social commentary in ways that have become central to her public voice. Her 2025 album, Before I Crashout, and continued releases and performances throughout 2026 mark the latest chapter in a career that continues to evolve without losing sight of the identity and convictions that shaped it.
This year, ¡BRAVO! will take place for the first time in Los Angeles where HPRA was founded 42 years ago. In 1984, a small group of Latino communications professionals came together because they understood that representation would not simply arrive with time. They would have to create space for themselves, advocate for one another and ensure Latino voices and stories became part of an industry that had too often overlooked them.
They could not have known exactly what would grow from what they started, but more than four decades later, their decision continues to reverberate through a new generation of Latino leaders, creators and storytellers who are claiming space in ways those founders could only have imagined.
“There is something deeply meaningful about honoring Snow in the city where HPRA began,” Diaz added. “Our founders understood that sometimes you have to build the space you were never given. Snow has done that in her own way. But building our own tables has never meant abandoning the fight for a seat everywhere else. We still have to demand parity. We still have to open doors. And when we gain influence, we have a responsibility to use it so the person coming behind us has more freedom, more opportunity and more room to be exactly who they are.”
The HPRA President’s Award is a singular honor selected annually by the HPRA President. Previous recipients include civil rights icon Dolores Huerta; Estuardo V. Rodriguez, Chair and CEO of Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino; filmmaker and producer Jessy Terrero; and DEI champion and industry giant Pat Ford. Each, in a different way, has used their career and platform to expand representation and possibility for Latino communities. Historically, the recognition has honored individuals whose leadership, civic service or work in the arts has made an enduring contribution to Hispanic culture and representation.
