With over 1.5 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, Franco Escamilla has become one of Latin America’s most followed, admired and decorated young standup comedians, and one of YouTube’s fastest growing and hottest celebrity sensations. Escamilla has put stand up comedy on the map in Latin America and now brings his enormous talent to Estrella TV, the leading Spanish language network in the US among millennial youth as reported by Nielsen Research.
“El Show de Franco Escamilla” is a late night talk show format featuring celebrity interviews, comedy sketches and entertaining games. The show will air weekly, Sunday nights at 9:00 PM, starting September 25th. This show is part of Estrella TV’s counterprogramming strategy, which caters to today’s Hispanic audiences in search of alternative entertainment to the traditional “telenovela” based networks.
Known as Mexico’s “rockstar standup comedian,” Escamilla is best known for his sarcasm and dry humor, which he cleverly combines with his no-nonsense, nonchalant style and quick wit.
