LOS ANGELES, FL — August 25, 2021 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — LATINAFest, LLC presents LATINAFest: Mind, Body, Soul 2021, an in-person event in celebration of all things Latina. LATINAFest was co-created in 2018 by entrepreneurs Bel Hernandez and Naibe Reynoso in an effort to connect, support, and celebrate LATINAprenuers. This year’s theme, #TheFutureIsLatina, reflects the growing influence of Latinas in all sectors of society. LATINAFest takes place on Sunday, October 17, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM (PST) at La Plaza de Cultura y Artes in downtown Los Angeles.

LATINAFest 2021 will not only provide Latina entrepreneurs a space to showcase and sell their culturally relevant and innovative products, but it will also feature inspirational Ted talk-like speakers and special performances; live tapings of the award-winning TheTRENDTalk show, Cocktail & VIP Gardens, an Empowerment Fashion Show, a The Lasio Hair Care Zone, a Food Court, and other fun activities and special installations for families and children.

“We’re excited to be fostering diversity, economic inclusion, and equality for these amazing women – the heart of our festival,” said Bel Hernandez, CEO of Latin Heat Media and Co-Founder of LATINAFest. “These women have the entrepreneurial spirit, vigor, and resilience to fuel the growth America needs.”

Latina entrepreneurs are growing too powerful to ignore, surging 34% over the past decade, outpacing that of any other ethnic group. By 2023, Latino/a purchasing power is expected to reach $1.9 trillion, adding up to significant economic and electoral clout.

“We believe small businesses are the backbone of our communities everywhere, and we are proud to support their growth and development,” said Sylvia Castillo, Southern California External Affairs Manager in Corporate Social Responsibility for the Americas at MUFG Union Bank. “That’s why we’re excited to partner with the Small Business Administration to sponsor LATINAFest in celebrating women entrepreneurs. Joining us will be community partners Vermont Slauson Economic Development Corp., NEW Women’s Business Center, and LA Optimized – office of Mayor Garcetti, all working together to focus on the details of your business.”

Concurrently with the in-person event on October 17, 2021, LATINAFest will be streaming the LATINA VIRTUALFest on its Facebook, Instagram, and website platforms featuring unique content, which includes segments on beauty, wellness, cooking, financial literacy, the Latina Legacy Icon interview; the LATINAPrenuer Biz Tips by notable Latina business women; and an SBA business panel discussion.

“Since 2020, Latina small business owners have been hard-hit and disproportionately affected as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and barriers to obtaining access to capital have kept them from reaching their full potential,” said Naibe Reynoso, Founder of Con Todo Press and Co-Founder of LATINAFest. “We’re delighted that at LATINAFest this year there will be a Latina Entrepreneur Center that will focus on free, one-on-one counseling on all things business.”

“We’re excited for LATINAFest and Hispanic Heritage Month,” said Victor Parker, Deputy Associate Administrator for SBA Office of Field Operations. “Research shows Latinas are especially successful entrepreneurs and are among one of the fastest growing segments. The SBA, the gateway to success for entrepreneurs across the country, is proud to participate in LATINAFest.”

ABC7 Los Angeles is partnering with LATINAFest as the media sponsor and will be covering the event on its broadcast, website, and social media. Anabel Muñoz, anchor of ABC7 Los Angeles, will be one of the emcees for LATINAFest.

LATINAFest Mind, Body, Soul 2021 is made possible by our generous sponsors: Union Bank, Lasio Professional Hair Care, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and ABC7 Los Angeles. For sponsorship opportunities email latinafestevents@gmail.com.
