Latino Web Fest is the nations first Spanish-language and bilingual content web series festival, featuring independently produced web series from throughout Latin America, Spain, and throughout the United States. “Diversity in Hollywood is a very important issue and we are committed to creating an environment where talented Latino filmmakers can be discovered” comments Founder Bryan Thompson. “To add even more dimension we combine the traditional film festival concept (screenings, panels, and awards) with the ‘Screen Bash’ concept, where web series content is shown in the City’s hottest clubs. Miami’s multicultural artistic and ‘hip’ environment provides an inspiring backdrop. These two elements allow Miami Web Fest to create meaningful opportunities for filmmakers as we discover and expose new talent for the global market,” adds Thompson.
Judges will review submissions in three categories: Music Videos, Worldwide Web Series, and Latino Web Series. Competitions in all the categories include: Best in Festival, Edu-tainment, Soap Opera, Spanish, Animation, Comedy, Action/Adventure, Mystery/Thriller, Horror, Drama, Reality, Romantic, Documentary/Non Fiction, Fantasy/Science-Fiction, Love, Action, Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Directing, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Visual Effects, Editing, and Music/Score. Deadline to submit is July 31, 2015. The cost is $90 per submission.
