Combined Insurance Continues to Grow Latino Markets

GLENVIEW, IL – October 1, 2015 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Combined Insurance, a leading provider of individual supplemental accident, disability, health, and life insurance products, and an ACE Group company, continues to grow its Latino initiative by continuing to hire bilingual sales agents and staff. In addition, earlier this year, it launched a Spanish New Agent Development Program for sales agents who serve customers in some of the largest Spanish-speaking markets in the nation: Texas, California, Florida, and New York.

“The key to our success is our ability to connect directly with our Spanish-speaking agents in the language they prefer to learn in”

Since the Latino initiative launch, Combined Insurance has hired more than 450 bilingual sales agents to help meet the customer needs of the growing Latino population in the U.S. Additionally, in 2015 alone, 30 percent of the company’s new staff hires at its corporate offices in Chicagoland were bilingual in Spanish and English.

“We make a great effort to connect with our Latino community and the Spanish-speaking customers here in Florida. We also offer an exceptional career opportunity in sales and sales leadership for Latinos. As a Latino myself, I am proud to represent a company that is so focused on serving our Spanish-speaking customers with highly trained Spanish-speaking sales agents,” said Miguel Cruz, market director for South Florida.

Not only is Combined Insurance focused on hiring bilingual sales agents, it supports their onboarding and learning through a Spanish New Agent Development Program. Earlier this year, Combined Insurance introduced the New Agent Development Program to train and prepare bilingual agents to serve Latino customers entirely in Spanish. Sales agents can fully serve our Spanish-speaking customers and prospects in the language they prefer.

“We have made tremendous progress towards our Latino initiative goals by offering an all-Spanish training program,” said David Escontrias, senior sales trainer for Combined Insurance. “The key to our success is our ability to connect directly with our Spanish-speaking agents in the language they prefer to learn in. We deliver a fully translated educational experience throughout their onboarding and development, which allows our new Spanish-speaking agents the ease of understanding our products and processes in Spanish. We believe this is a great advantage in attracting more bilingual agents.”

Recently, Art Kandarian, retired U.S. Army Colonel, was named senior vice president of business development, military and Latino markets, for Combined Insurance. He states: “As a company, we strive to hire quality agents and managers who understand that our business is built on a face-to-face sales model that offers customers individualized service. What sets us apart is that we go the extra mile to develop bilingual sales professionals that provide our Latino customers with the care and customer service that is important to them. We plan to take this initiative, along with our military veteran hiring initiative, even further to become a best-in-class organization in both these areas.”

As a leading supplemental insurance provider, Combined Insurance was recently recognized as one of the Top Diversity Employers in the nation by Hispanic Network Magazine on their 2015 Best of the Best list. According to Hispanic Network Magazine, this list represents organizations that strive for diversity and incorporate it into their business practices and are able to leverage the value that true diversity has to offer: a rich breadth of ideas, a wide range of perspectives, and an ability to attract the very best talent. Combined Insurance was also recognized as number one on Victory Media’s (publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine) 2015 list of Top 100 Military Friendly® Employers and as a Top Veteran-Friendly Company by U.S. Veterans Magazine.
