Favela, one of regional Mexican music’s most prominent, critically acclaimed and fastest rising stars in the U.S. joins the ranks of returning judges Ana Barbara, radio and TV personality Don Cheto, and internationally renowned music producer Pepe Garza. The show’s grand prizewinner will receive $100,000, along with career-launching support of Estrella TV and its parent company LBI Media, Inc.
Known for his songwriting and musical production prowess for recording artists such as Julión Álvarez, Gerardo Ortiz, Banda MS, Arrolladora Banda Limón, Banda El Recodo and Los Recoditos, to name a few, Favela launched “Hecho A Mano,” his first full-length debut album as singer-songwriter in 2015.
