Hispanicize 2016 exceeded all expectations drawing more than 2,600 of the nation’s top Hispanic marketers, brands, creators, social media influencers, journalists, music artists, tech entrepreneurs and filmmakers to Miami over five days while generating more than two billion combined media and social media impressions. The event was held April 4-8th at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Miami and at various venues throughout the city. This year also marked the launch of the first ever DiMe Summit. Held in South Beach’s SLS Hotel, the DiMe Summit hosted 200 multicultural digital influencers to an intimate gathering that featured more than a dozen advanced workshops, talks and trainings.
“Prudential’s presenting sponsorship support greatly helped us raise the bar in 2016,” said Hispanicize event founder Manny Ruiz. “Thanks to Prudential and to many other great brands and media partners such as NBC Universal/Telemundo who were our presenting media partners, we were able to execute our vision of elevating and uniting Latinos and as a result, Hispanicize 2016 turned out to be the biggest and most creative event to date.”
In addition to being the Hispanic marketing and social media industry’s premier program, Hispanicize 2016 also included in-depth Blogger/Creators, Hispanic Journalist, Music, Film and Latino Tech Entrepreneurs and marketing showcase with Geoscape. Our 2016 class of Latinovator Award recipients included motivational speaker/anti-bullying ambassador Lizzie Velazquez, Vine comedian super star Lele Pons, actress Rosario Dawson and Tyler Perry Studios President Ozzie Areu.
