MIAMI, FL – August 18, 2020 – (LATINX NEWSWIRE) – IMC Health Medical Centers, with thirteen state-of-the-art clinics in Miami-Dade, Broward and Orange counties in Florida, has taken action to help the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, going beyond its walls and 46,000 membership to reach the community in areas of acute need and assistance.
IMC Health immediately mobilized to prioritize patient care and has doubled hot meal distribution to elderly patients from 700 to 1400 meals daily, launched “Teleamigos” telemedicine option for members and initiated the biweekly Facebook Live show “La Ventanita” to provide accurate and updated information on the pandemic.
IMC Health has provided unprecedented support to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic with initiatives led by IMC Health Director of Finance, Carolina Veira, and has galvanized the staff, transportation and storage assets while partnering with the all-volunteer Hispanic Star Miami hub, also directed by Veira, in the following community outreach initiatives to date:
