LST is teaming up with MIYB Spaces and co-sponsored by IDEA (EconAlliance), Latino Startup Alliance (LSA) Central Coast and Kapor Center for Social Impact to bring this curriculum on Saturday, October 4th 2014 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be hosted by MIYB Spaces at located at 429 E. “I believe that our solutions in technology will not come from others but from our communities. We want to teach Silicon Valley methods that have helped larger companies learn how to serve their customers. The best part is that you don’t have to have a tech venture to learn, if you are using your phone, tablet or computer for business you can benefit”
“I am incredibly excited about going to Santa Maria to teach the fastest growing segment of business owners: Latinas!” said Tech Entrepreneur Deldelp Medina, Co-founder of Avion Ventures. “I believe that our solutions in technology will not come from others but from our communities. “As a female entrepreneur and founder of MIYB Spaces, I am honored to support the Latina Startup Tour’s visit to Santa Maria. I am extremely proud of the work we are doing locally – as we work together to build a vibrant, inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem that truly represents who we are as a community. The mere fact that Santa Maria was selected as one of only 8 cities nationwide for this campaign is truly exciting, but the fact that MIYB Spaces has the opportunity to host such an amazing group who are dedicated to the empowerment of Latinas and women in general as they launch their own businesses – is beyond words – I am so honored! To all the planners, presenters, coordinators of the Latina Startup Tour – I say congratulations and thank you!!! To the attendees – I say lucky you (us)! And to our community – I say WOO HOO!!! We are truly special and the world is starting to recognize us for who we are!” Anne L. Cremarosa.
