In its fourth year partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, LBI Media radio propertiesLa Raza KTJM 98.5 FM, El Norte KQQK 107.9 FM and toLa Ranchera Deportes KEYH 850 AM/101.7 FM raised close to $500,000.00 during a two-day radiothon that took place from March 22-23, 2018. Supported by Hispanic radio listeners in the greater Houston Metro area, the money raised this year represents a 115% increase in funds compared to fundraising efforts in 2017.
For the past three years, during a two-day radiothon, LBI Media’s radio station DJ’s and personalities have committed to use their time, talent and the power of their radio platform to create awareness for critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care for underserved, low income children who require critical medical attention. The money raised will continue to benefit the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Since 2015, LBI Media’s radio stations in Houston have raised a cumulative total of over $1.7 million during the radiothon from over 2,700 Hispanic radio listeners for the charitable organization.
