MIAMI, FL – January 27, 2017 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Organizers of Hispanicize 2017 today named six-time Emmy Award-winning “Primer Impacto” anchor Pamela Silva Conde and Ana Wolfington, producer and director of the Wolfington Foundation, as co-chairs of the 2017 Positive Impact Awards (PIAs). Both Conde and Wolfington have shown tremendous support and commitment to a long roster of organizations and initiatives aimed at improving quality of life across the country. As co-chairs, they will promote the nomination and voting process, support efforts to raise the program’s visibility nationwide and serve as judges for this year’s nominees.

In 2014, Pamela established the Pamela Silva Conde Scholarship offering financial support to first-generation students at Florida International University, her alma mater. She is also an avid supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and serves on the board of directors for Amigos for Kids ®, a nonprofit organization founded to respond to the needs of South Florida’s abused, neglected and less fortunate children and families.
As a leader of the Wolfington Foundation, Ana actively supports organizations that serve the poor and defend the defenseless. Ana volunteers with La Casita Foundation on a weekly basis to provide meals and education to underprivileged women in South Florida. She was also honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award for her work serving others and received the Legacy Award from the National Council for Adoption.
