NEW YORK, NY – JULY 28, 2020 – (LATINX NEWSWIRE) – Fifty percent of Latinas and other minority women entrepreneurs are at risk of losing their business forever in the next 90 days. In parallel, the organization is running its first Virtual Fundraiser in collaboration with RENOVAD Experiential Retreats, a company that offers the opportunity for one lucky winner to participate in the 2021 Costa Rica PURA VIDA Blue Osa Yoga Retreat & Spa Giveaway.

“We need your generous support because all our work is on a volunteer basis: 100% of the sponsorship and fundraiser money goes to continue our mission to promote and build programs for Latinas and other minority women entrepreneur,” Baumann said. “Because of our members and sponsors’ loyalty, so far we have promoted over 600 minority-owned small businesses who are struggling to survive in this pandemic overlapped with an unprecedented economic crisis.”

Co-hosted by Prospanica NJ Chapter, the event presents and interactive panel with international and national speakers including Belgium, EU, based Vero Sosa, Founder and President of SHE (Seminario para Hispanas Emprendedoras), Founder of Business Fit Academy and Business Fit Magazine; and from Texas, Perla Tamez, Serial Entrepreneur and Hispanic Star National Hub Director.

Panel facilitator and co-host of the event, Beth Marmolejos-Marrazini, President of Prospanica NJ Chapter and Hispanic Star NJ Hub Director said, “We are trying to find economic support for those businesses that have not received or qualified for government subsidies, working with an organization such as Latinas in Business, SHE and Hispanic Star.”

The event also includes the 2020 Latina of the Month Awards Ceremony. Diana Franco, Executive Director, WE NYC, will be recognized with the Small Business Champion Award. Twelve Latina Entrepreneurs and Leaders who were promoted in the LatinasinBusiness.us Magazine Spotlight will also receive their recognition at the Virtual Summit.
