Tiscareño-Sato is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and also holds a master degree in international business management from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington where she was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base. As an active duty KC-135 officer and navigator, she’s served our nation in combat aviation sorties over Iraq, with the NATO Battlestaff during the conflict in Bosnia & Herzegovina and was honored with a prestigious Air Medal on her first deployment to Saudi Arabia during the days after first Gulf War ended in the early 1990s.
Today, she’s creating the first bilingual (English/Spanish) children’s picture book series about women in the military.
