NEW YORK, NY – November 11, 2015 – (HISPANICIZE WIRE) – Graciela Tiscareño-Sato, daughter of Mexican immigrants and a decorated veteran who served in the active duty U.S. Air Force for over nine years as an aviator, will be sharing highlights of her career with an emphasis on “Lessons Learned During Military Service That Students Can Use in Leadership and Life,” the title of her keynote speech.

Tiscareño-Sato is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and also holds a master degree in international business management from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington where she was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base. As an active duty KC-135 officer and navigator, she’s served our nation in combat aviation sorties over Iraq, with the NATO Battlestaff during the conflict in Bosnia & Herzegovina and was honored with a prestigious Air Medal on her first deployment to Saudi Arabia during the days after first Gulf War ended in the early 1990s.
Today, she’s creating the first bilingual (English/Spanish) children’s picture book series about women in the military.
