MIAMI, FL — November 20, 2024 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — On November 22, 2024, Wynwood Magazine, a groundbreaking new publication, will launch its inaugural edition. It will spotlight the voices and visionaries who helped transform Wynwood into one of the world’s most iconic cultural hubs. From street art to fashion, food, design, music, and more, Wynwood Magazine is dedicated to telling the stories of the pioneers who put this creative district on the global map.

The debut issue will be unveiled during an exclusive, invite-only event at Mana320 (320 NW 23rd St) in Wynwood, where local and international artists, creatives, and cultural influencers will gather to celebrate the magazine’s launch. The event marks a pivotal moment in Wynwood’s vibrant artistic history, and the first issue will be available to the public starting December 2, 2024, during Miami Art Week. Copies can be found at Art Miami, Aqua, Context, and the Wynwood Walls.

The cover of Wynwood Magazine pays tribute to the trailblazing women who have helped shape the landscape of Wynwood’s cultural scene. Featured in stunning black and white, the cover photograph highlights three grand dames of the arts: Pamela Cohen, VIP Relations to Art Miami Fairs; Bernice Steinbaum, founder of the renowned Bernice Steinbaum Gallery, and Allison Freidin, Founder and Co-Partner of the Museum of Graffiti. These women have played an instrumental role in putting Wynwood on the map as an epicenter of contemporary art, and their contributions are celebrated as part of this inaugural issue.

Once opened, Wynwood Magazine transforms with an explosion of color, featuring double-page spreads of monumental murals and the dynamic visual culture that defines Wynwood. The magazine’s content also features an all-star roster of writers, including:

  • Kobi Karp‘s piece on The Art of Architecture and Design brings new insight into the intersection of art and urban development.
  • Brad Kilgore, a James Beard Award-winning chef, who explores The Art of Gastronomy, highlighting Wynwood’s culinary scene.
  • An essay by a Miami Herald award-winning photojournalist who delves into The Art of Humanities, capturing the essence of Wynwood’s diverse, creative community.

In addition to the rich articles, the issue features pictorial essays showcasing the beauty and vibrancy of Wynwood’s art, culture, and people. Every page reflects the energy of this iconic district, offering both substance and beauty to readers who seek to understand and celebrate Miami’s creative heartbeat.

“Our mission with Wynwood Magazine is to honor the legacy of those who made this magical district a cultural epicenter,” said Wynwood Magazine Founder and Owner Susana Baker. “We wanted the first issue to reflect the power and history of Wynwood through the voices of those who made it what it is today. From monumental murals to world-class food and fashion, this magazine celebrates the artistry and creativity that flows through the streets of Wynwood.”

The launch event on November 22 will be a tribute to this rich cultural history and the magazine’s role in capturing and sharing it with the world. It will bring together artists, collectors, curators, and creatives for an unforgettable evening of celebration and connection.
